Royal Rangers Women’s Team
In keeping with our vision of aiming to be an equal opportunity club the Royal Rangers Women’s Team was launched in 2018. There are currently around 30 girls registered with the club all of whom are provided with facilities and support in accordance with the vision and directives of the Diana Jones Foundation. This ensures at par training standards and skill development for the girls, which translated into early success for the team when they were runner’s up in the Special Women’s Football League held by DSA (Delhi Soccer Association) in 2018.
Our goal for this year is to enable the team to participate in the AIFF Women’s Indian Football League and the Delhi Football League. We hope to achieve this under the accomplished guidance of Dr. Abha Jain who has been appointed the Director – Women’s Football at the Club. Dr. Abha Jain, Assistant Professor with Janaki Devi Memorial College, brings with her expertise as a sports psychologist and sociologist (football and athletics) which will help our Women’s program not only in physical aspects such as skill and strength training and conditioning but also provide spiritual direction to the players and coaching staff.
This is a vital aspect of the Royal Rangers Academy’s overall vision and direction: a well-rounded development of all players and coaching staff which in turn will ensure a well developed and dynamic talent pool.
